Route Details: On this hike, we trek along Quebradas la Miel and El Silencio in Envigado, passing by three beautiful waterfalls of about 45m, 25m, and 90m (Chorro de las Campanas, Salto del Angel, and Cascada El Silencio). There will be time to rest and swim (for those who don’t mind the cold!) at each waterfall. The trail is a mix of tropical vegetation, pine forest, a short leg on paved road, and has numerous river crossings so hikers must be prepared to get their legs and shoes wet.

Meeting point –  Envigado Metro Station, South Entrance
Estimated Time Walking: approx. 4.5 hours, but varies with pace of group
Transportation to and from start of the hike: Public bus, 30 minutes, depending on traffic

Price: 65,000 COP or $22 USD / person – includes hike leader, extreme sport insurance, public transportation, first aid care, sales tax, and information about the area and city.

Difficulty: 3.75 out of 5: (difficult) The hiking route features many river crossings with slippery rocks, a couple steep incline on mountain trail, and a few parts with rope assisted climbing. Participants will get their shoes and bottom of their legs wet! All participants should have a very good level of physical condition and be without health problems, underlying cardiovascular problems, or severe environmental allergies.

Recommendations / Warnings: Hikers are asked to bring plenty of water (2 L), snacks for energy, sun protection, and secure shoes with good grip that you don’t mind walking through water in.
Please be aware that all hikers will be participating at their own risk and may be asked to sign a waiver!
